Yashin Live Touches Grass at #CQ2022Writer: Astolfo (Yashin Media, MGMT)  It has been a long time since Philippines had a massive convention! From just a 700-person high school project in 2017 held in Iloilo, to over 33,000 attendees held in Manila. This has been the biggest AcadArena has ever achieved since the start of CONQuest Festival. There were a lot of jampacked events and activities that made Yashin Live so busy! Meet and greets were a part of the events and of course, we did not want to miss some of the M&G events, meeting our inspiration, our motivation to do what we wanted to do. Here are some of CONQuest 2022's Event features: Going Inside the Convention Both days had a very long line of congoers waiting outside. People were starting to line up as early as 5AM, talk about dedication! The highlight of people waiting outside was on day 1. There were people hyping up the crowd as the opening time of the con grows closer and closer, making the con more exciting and more hyped as ever!  At the opening time of CONQuest, we are instantly greeted by booths of Rumble Royale and Predator Gaming. With Rumble Royale having their BATO BATO PICK BATTLE ROYALE, which you can win a brand-new gaming rig! While Predator on the other hand, handled gaming booths and it was possible to have a head-to-head with other teams!  The retro arcade, located at the second floor, had different games and consoles to choose from. Ranging from NES games like Super Mario Bros., to old PlayStation 2 games like DrumMania and Pop n’ Music. This is one of the hangouts that had oldies reminiscence their childhood life and repeat the enjoyment in the past!  One of the highlights of CONQuest is their VALORANT showmatch, which happened on Day 1 at 4pm. There were 2 teams participating that had both celebrities and pro players alike. Team Kyedae consisted of Kyedae, Maggiekarp, Krisrey, BRN xavi8k, and s0nshine of MSU-IIT, while Team Razzie consisted of Razzie Binx, Een Mercado, burg, SuperMJ, and Nicole G of iAcademy Their showmatch was also streamed at Facebook and has amassed over 10,000 active viewers throughout the games. The maps they have played were Ascent, Bind, and Icebox. Ascent was a close match between both teams, securing a 13 – 9 score in favor of Team Razzie. The next map, Bind, was one-sided in terms of score, getting a 13 – 1 score with Team Kyedae forcing a map 3 in the showmatch. The Icebox pick was the last pick and if you have not seen the match itself, you are missing out with all the hype that the match got. Having 2 OTs, and a VERY, very close game, Team Razzie takes it home with a 15 – 13 score line. After the match, both teams were interviewed on how their games were played and how did each player play their game and how they got their win, but in Kyedae’s interview, it was asked if it is possible that she can come back next year in the Philippines, and the answer was yes! Kyedae is going back for CONQuest 2023 and might be bringing TenZ next year!  Rest area is one of CONQuest’s provision for people who are attending the event who are tired and want to have a rest after a long day wandering around in the convention. The rest area was originally ONLY for resting, but it was provided with Just Dance for those who want to still groove to something after doing a lot of things in the event. Of course, some of the Yashin Live members did not want to miss out on dancing to old Just Dance choreography and proceeded to dance in stage after some of our activities has finished. Meet & GreetsFor the Meet & Greets, some of the Yashin members did not want to miss out on international celebrities coming over and meeting fans in the Philippines! For Day 1, members got to meet LilyPichu and Bao & Senz, and for Day 2, it was allocated for Kyedae and Michael Reeves.  Image (right): Yashin Live Media with Bao and Senz Bao and Senz meet and greet was a blast for VTubers and VTuber enjoyers alike. Both were nice and had a sense of humor when it comes to having the Q&A part of the meet. One of the questions asked was “If given an opportunity to, would both of you collaborate with Philippine VTubers and/or VTuber agencies?”, and they both agreed on giving PH VTubers to collaborate with them in the future! Even when people had long questions, the guests were very patient and nice to each other!
Day 1 Meet and Greet, LilyPichu is one of the biggest streamers and has come to YouTube just recently. Yashin members were able to catch up to the meet and greet of Lily. Although the wait lasted 4 hours due to an astonishing amount of people, Lily has been very accommodating and patient while meeting a lot of people. One of the members chatted Lily about being a VA in Genshin, music, and gave words of encouragement to them.
We had the opportunity to meet Kyedae in person for the first time! She is one of the biggest VALORANT streamers that attended CONQuest 2022 here in the Philippines. Previously, the meet and greet tickets for Kyedae sold out almost instantly within release, making her M&G popular. Being able to ask Kyedae questions with some humor marks a check on our bucket list. After the question-and-answer portion, we talked with Kyedae in person, and had taken pictures with her! Both Yashin Live members were nervous and had adrenaline rush while meeting her, but they tried to keep composure and be professional. She is very heartwarming when it comes to accepting various requests being delivered- like fans requesting being stepped on- or just giving fans hugs in general. Overall, she is a very down to earth person with an amazing personality.

Michael's meet was… interesting. As he offered different poses, most of which are not for children as the content is the same with what he does on YouTube. He also announced a new video coming soon. This is one of the first conventions Yashin Live has visited since the pandemic started, and has been waiting for this moment ever since. There were so much things to do that the Media team was not able to cover every nook and cranny the event had to offer, but it was one of the best conventions the members participated in. Yashin Live plans to participate in more conventions in the future! Maybe one of which will be very… special? Thank you for staying updated with Yashin at CONQuest 2022!
